Servers: Our Virtual Servers, Shells, Hosting & Torrent Boxes are provided to you on the most top notch servers available, our hardware is unmatched with the most up to date of features. Each of a high quality servers are placed geologically different to help better suit our customers needs.
DDoS protection: We utilize state of the art filtering techniques on our multi-gigabit equipped network to identify and deny DoS/DDoS traffic, before it can disrupt normal traffic. We understand that protection is important to our customers, and that's why all IRC and IRCd shells come with this feature as a standard.

The datacenter currently houses over 2,000 dedicated servers for over 800 customers world-wide in Chicago. All of our dedicated servers are centrally located in our N+1 Chicago data center space.

Server Racks - Side View
An overview of our data center space housing the majority of our clients. Obtrix is an anchor tenant in the data center facility with the largest allocation of space of any other tenant and the only tenant to maintain private on-site NOC space.

"Hot" Aisle of Server Racks
Our server Aisles are separated between hot Aisles and cold Aisles. This is a view down the hot Aisle between rows 206 and 207. The Aisle is warm because the servers case and CPU fans all blow into it. Strict control over airflow helps us keep efficiency high and costs down while minimizing our environmental impact.

"Hot" Side of Server Racks
This is an open server rack on the "hot" side. Obtrix has very strict wiring requirements. Proper wiring insures not only employee safety but proper airflow, which is essential to maintain an environmentally friendly facility by minimizing use of resources for climate control.

"Cold" Side of Server Rack
We are a dense provider, meaning we put a lot of equipment into each of our racks. Here is a full server rack with over 35 servers in it. To conserve power, servers are not turned on until they are leased to a client.

SingleHop Networking Equipment
We maintain and monitor our networking equipment very carefully. Only senior staff is allowed access to it and it is kept under a special lock and key. We also have a special security camera focused on both sides of this cabinet. We have additional networking material in every server rack and also off-site at the Equinix IBX center as a POP location.

Network Information
Our network is routed by top of the line Juniper edge routers and aggregated through Cisco and Juniper switches. As a Chicago Dedicated Server provider, we have access to most major bandwidth providers, which have been selected based on routes to compliment our other providers. Our network gear is completely redundant all the way down to the uplinks that link up our cabinets, and to the providers that we have selected, along with the entry-points in to our facility.
